5 Trends to Watch Out for in 2020

A new decade is upon us. And with it comes the new trends we expect for 2020 and beyond. Below we list 5 of these trends.

Walkways
For 2020, meander around on paver pathways laid out in creative patterns. Using this inexpensive but versatile patio surface material, outdoor areas will see an increase of beautiful and simple paver walkways. Feel free to mix and match colors and textures for a more visually appealing outdoor path.

Decks
Relaxing on the deck will be a more popular pastime in the coming decade. While the movement has started since the second half of this decade, this trend will continue well onto 2020. From cozy chairs, to revved up fire pits and comfortable lounge, deck out your outdoor space with all the comfort of your indoor living room. Doing so, reclaim your outdoor space once again.

Vertical Plant Walls
As massive deforestation is happening all over the world, more homeowners are waking up to the fact that even if they only have their homes, they can do something to help curb the lack of greenery through their own vertical walls. Serving not only as a natural air purifier, vertical plant walls can also serve as privacy walls for your decks. With its minimal space requirement, see more vertical walls get erected this coming 2020.

Mixed materials
If you’re yet to design and contact a contractor for your patio construction, here’s a great trend you can use to your advantage. The use of mixed materials is in vogue for the coming decade. Restrictions are off and you can be inventive in the patio materials you use for your patio. Whether it’s mixing concrete and pavers or brick and tiles, feel free to experiment and see what a masterpiece of a patio you can come up with.

Outdoor Bars
Entertaining at home in one’s own outdoor bar will be the rave this coming decade. Much like the roaring twenties but with much less extravagance and more comfort, outdoor bars will usher in the ease of entertaining family and friends without having to go out anymore.
